Bravo Beach Hotel

Best sunset and views from the pool. Easy walk to and from the ferry terminal, restaurants and a golf cart rental place. Hospitality was top notch. We loved that the hotel had a supply coolers, beach chairs and goggles to borrow for a day at the beach

Best Hotel Ever! Great for vacation and a wonderful place to stay in the beautiful Island of Vieques!

We enjoyed our stay here! In booking this place, bear in mind that it isn't going to be equivalent to the full service resorts located in the central part of the island; it's more like a clean, well-run 1960s motel that's located directly on the shore of the Carribean. There are beautiful ocean views from every room that you won't get at the inland resorts, but there's no food served on premises and no one at the front desk at night. You're basically getting the room and access to the (clean, nice) pool deck. It's located in a quiet, blue collar neighborhood a short walk from the ferry dock, or a short cab ride from the airport. There are several good restaurants in walking distance. This location means that it's a longer drive to the truly nice beaches on the Southern shore of the island, but you have to drive to get to those no matter where you stay - it's just 20 minutes instead of 10. The city beaches are within walking distance, but the shoreline in front of the hotel itself is just coral and seaweed. The staff were polite and helpful, and there are a variety of coolers and beach chairs available gratis. Some other reviews have described the building as dated, which is true in that it is a 60 year-old building that's right next to the ocean, so there are cracked tiles, rust and so on. Everything in the room worked, including air conditioning. The overall impression is that this used to be more of a resort, but it's changed hands and the new owners are trying to operate it on a budget as a low-frills hotel.
