Many thanks to Luis for the information and for his attention during the visit. An impressive house museum; I hope to return soon to explore it in more detail.

Felisa Rincón de Gautier also known as Doña Fela, (January 9, 1897 – September 16, 1994) was a Puerto Rican politician who served as the mayor of the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was the first woman to be elected as mayor of a capital city in the Americas. In all my recent trips to PR for one reason or for another I was not able to visit her home/house until today. Overwhelming with history. She had a vast collection of hand fans! The staff is eager to share their knowledge and extremely accommodating. A must!
