Greetings Puerto Flora, you may not agree with the following comment. Last year I visited your facilities and found a product that was unparalleled in quality and price. The customer service was exceptional, and I decided to purchase my supplies there. In August, I placed an order for approximately 150 poinsettias of varying sizes but all the same color. I inquired about delivery service and received a resounding yes. At that time, I had the plants in the quantity and size I needed, and delivery was also available. We agreed on a price and a delivery date of Monday, November 21st. When I offered to make the payment immediately, the owner told me it wasn't necessary at that moment. After Hurricane Fiona passed, on October 10th I contacted them again to verify if the order was still valid. Again, I received a resounding yes, which was a relief, not only because I hadn't been affected but also because Puerto Flora hadn't been affected either. I offered to make the payment again and received the following response: "I can accept payment a few days before delivery. Not too far in advance—if I notice they're running out before the date you need them, I'll let you know to coordinate." And so it was; we had a verbal agreement, a commitment between two businesses. On November 1st, the notification I received from Puerto Flora was: "Please wait until closer to the delivery date; we'll send you the invoice two days prior." Imagine my surprise when, on November 18th around 6 PM, I received a text message informing me that they couldn't make the delivery on Monday, November 21st. They also told me they no longer had enough stock of the items I had ordered and that I should stop by the nursery to see what they had available before an appointment they had with a wholesaler the following day, Saturday, November 19th. The message was, quite literally, "I'm sorry I can't fulfill your request. Good afternoon." Like Puerto Flora, I run a business. You, dear readers, will draw your own conclusions.
