Wildane Kennels

⭐☆☆☆☆ My personal experience at Wildane Kennels, Rio Grande, was not positive. Although the place appears beautiful and natural, my experience in 2015 left much to be desired. I left my two dogs there while I traveled to the United States, and although they assured me over the phone that everything was fine, when I picked them up I noticed worrying signs. My older dog, who was always calm and affectionate, returned with strange, fearful, and defensive behavior, especially towards the woman in charge, Esther, which made me think he might have had a negative experience during his stay. Furthermore, they returned one of his toys (a deer antler) to me full of dried maggots, which demonstrates a lack of hygiene and supervision. The place has a gated entrance with overgrown vegetation that gives an uncomfortable feeling, and they never showed me where my pets would be during their stay. Out of respect for the animals and the owners who trust this establishment to care for their pets, I believe it's important that it be evaluated and monitored. This is my personal experience, and I share it respectfully, hoping it will lead to improvements in the treatment, cleanliness, and transparency towards customers and their pets.

Wildane Kennels is the best pet hotel in all of Puerto Rico. Esther's experience and the care she and her team provide are excellent. My four pets were returned to me clean and happy. No one had ever taken care of my dogs the way she did. She was very attentive of every detail about each of them. She's definitely the best!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wildane Kennels. They have been caring for our dogs for 6 years and I would never go any where else. The dogs are excited the minute we pull in the gate, which gives us a great feeling. They are incredibly meticulous and careful of the dogs’ health and the environment. They receive a bath first thing upon arrival and before they come home. They are monitored to be sure they are eating enough and don’t lose weight. We get regulate reports during their stay and they are quick to respond to any questions and send photos! They know our dogs’ personalities as well as we do and place them next to their favorite friends. As we transport our dogs to and from the mainland twice a year, they have made the process much easier than trying to fly commercial and fly with them, which can be very stressful. If you are looking for someone to care for your pets as well as you do, Wildane Kennels is your place! Thank you thank you !!!
