Cacao Farm Finca La Providencia

This was an amazing experience. Highly recommend to anyone! We had a small group of 3 of us and everything was perfect. The tour was educational but does require some fitness to get through the different levels of plants. It was amazing to see the cacao plants, feel them, see the process of the farming, and then learn of the final process of creating the chocolate! Being able to taste different pieces of the cacao throughout the process before it becomes chocolate was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The tasting was lovely and the chocolate was incredible! We took one of each home! We will definitely return years down the line to see how the farm evolves.

I visited here during low season, and ended up being the only person on that particular tour. I had a blast! The tour itself was so informative, the grounds on the farm are so beautiful and it's amazing to see how everything is achieved. My tour guide was excellent, friendly and made the whole morning enjoyable. I believe her name was Carolyn (apologies if I'm totally wrong on the spelling!) The cacao and chocolate were all so delicious.

We had an amazing time during our tour at the Cacao Farm! Our tour guide (I regretfully don’t remember her name) was amazing. She was very informative and answered any questions we had. She took us on an easygoing walking tour down the mountain a bit. Explaining the varieties they have on the farm and showing us the different trees. She even let our son cut the cacao pod off a tree that we later got to taste. Of course the best part of the tour was tasting the different chocolates at the end and trying the cacao husk tea (my personal favorite!). We bought lots to take home and share with friends and will definitely be visiting again the next time we’re in Puerto Rico.
