El Champi Spanish Tapas Restaurant

I don't understand how this restaurant isn't jam packed every day. I ordered the seafood paella which was absolutely the best I have ever had in my life. So much flavor and love is tasted in that dish, and the portion was very large. I felt like I was in someone's home eating it. I also ordered a mojito which was also the best I've ever had. I lastly ordered the tembleque (which I never had before but always wanted to try), and was blown away. So delicious, so light, and refreshing. It was definitely thr perfect way to end my very filling and flavorful meal. The staff is very sweet, kind, and extremely attentive. I will definitely be back for the rest of my trip, and any time I come to Old San Juan.

Absolutely amazing experience. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! We stopped in for a bite and a cocktail around lunch time and were blown away by the chorizo croquettes and muscles! The owner, Raphael was so friendly and even gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip.

If you are looking for an authentic tapas out paella experience, this is the place. Truly nourishing for body and soul.
