Captain Jose of Puerto Rico Sailing School is more than a sailor of the seas--he is a sailor of life, and taking courses with him is, as another reviewer states, truly transformational. Approach this course with an open mind and heart; be patient; listen; and enjoy. Jose instills a belief in your ability to master everything sailing and more; his calm, kind, wise demeanor makes him admirable as a teacher and human being. When you first meet with Capt Jose, he tells you that this course is about much more than just sailing....it is about a total transformation of your mindset and lifestyle. I did not understand it at first, but by the time we were done our ASA 101 course, it made perfect sense. The experience was so transformational, that I am now enrolled in a Maritime University and pursuing a career on the water.
