Rainforest Inn

Bob and Renee, and the rest of their staff were excellent BNB hosts! The BNB is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The location is by far one of the most beautiful areas on the island located in the El yunque forest.

We had a wonderful stay at the Rainforest Inn Hotel! It ranks up there as one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. The bed and breakfast is located near El Yunque National Park and staying there felt like an immersive rainforest / nature experience built for couples. We stayed in the jungle suite, which was the perfect place to relax with a private deck with comfy hammocks. The coffee and breakfast each morning were delicious (vegetarian menu - try the dirty chai, all very healthy and fresh, even my boyfriend who is a meat-eater loved it. The packed lunches they prepared for us for our hike were also amazing). As a guest there you will have access to a private hike (Lost Machete Hike), which was a unique and fun experience (leads to a huge waterfall with natural pool). Overall, we had such a peaceful, relaxing stay and the Rainforest Inn served as a great home base for us as we explored various parts of Puerto Rico (including easy access to Luquillo, El Yunque National Park, Fajardo, and Ceiba). The owners and all staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and professional. Despite the lack of AC we were actually quite comfortable during our stay in August (ceiling fans, screened windows, and mattress with cooling system worked wonders). Additionally, we didn't see a single mosquito during our stay due the natural strategies they employ. If you're looking for a nature-immersive experience to truly disconnect, I highly recommend booking a stay here. I also appreciate their sustainability efforts, including the use of solar power and a cistern system to ensure the property's water supply. In fact, we encountered power outages during our stay at a separate hotel in San Juan, but never experienced that (or lack of water) during our stay at the Rainforest Inn due to the sustainable mechanisms they have built in. I hope to come back soon!
