Rincon Beach Resort

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but in our experience, it’s more like a 2.5 to 3-star hotel at best—and it’s definitely not cheap to stay here. The hotel is very old and feels like it needs major renovations. The elevators are extremely slow, and we almost got stuck in one multiple times, which was honestly pretty concerning. The service was just okay. I understand that everyone is doing their job, but the staff could be much friendlier and more welcoming. A smile and a little kindness go a long way. Only one restaurant had one staff member who were consistently nice and welcoming. The views are beautiful, and the pool is nice, but those were really the highlights for us. The restaurant schedules posted by the hotel were also completely inaccurate, which made it difficult to plan meals. We have stayed at several 4- to 4.5-star hotels before, and unfortunately, this hotel did not feel like it was in the same category. One positive is the location. It’s close to Rincón, so you can easily explore the town, and it’s also near some very nice beaches. Overall, the location and views are great, but the condition of the hotel, slow elevators, inaccurate restaurant hours, and lack of friendly service made this stay disappointing for the price.

Had my wedding here last month. Overall had a bad experience specifically with the event coordinator Alondra Agront. Everytime we’d go to make a payment she wouldn’t come greet us & we’d be directed to the front desk staff. The times she was there she’d act like it’s the first time she’s ever seen us & like we haven’t been planning everything through her. Even to the day of check in we had a situation & she went to hide in the back & left the person in front desk to deal with it & was making comments like “are they gone yet”. She was extremely disrespectful to us as customers on every interaction we had. The hotel gave us a room block with prices higher than those listed online. They charge extra for having 4 people in a room even if you are getting a 2 queen bed room. I had a junior suite for the nights I was staying there & the room smelled like mold. Other family members upon check in & being assigned there rooms showed up to painters in the room & getting sent away. They were relocated only to have the A/C in the room breakdown & had to request service to get it fixed. I would not recommend anyone to have their wedding here. My family & I were not treated well and the rooms weren’t up to the price they were charging or any standard.
