The Place at the Sea

Pros: The small room is comfortable for the price. The TV service was excellent. Cons: They need to improve the access procedure. There's no backup generator if the power goes out.

This place is not suitable for a family with kids. The rental has a main building, a container and two trailers with mostly two people occupancy rooms. Our room, the bigger one, was what the owner named “Almeja” =(royal apartment). It really means "clam": a short 7 ft height basement with zero views or usable windows (a box), no more than 100 ft far the sea level. Your bed is literally under sea level, so you can reflect how to escape to a tsunami. If you are traveling with children, you will have to turn a extremely noisy and dirty industrial fan all night to push the AC air from your room which blows the air right into your face when sleeping, to the futon at the living area, which is at least 6 to 7 degrees warmer. Pillows/Bed linens had some funky smell. Water at the time we booked was available without any issue. Worth to mention that once the futon is opened, there's barely any space to walk. On top, there's a gas stove inside of this, so go figure... Bed was not confortable at all, I couldn't rest more than one hour in the whole night. No owner or any staff around. It does not deliver proper value for the money.

Awesome! The best place to stay in Ponce and very affordable. One thing I didn't like was getting out of the car and entering a code to open the gate; it was quite dangerous. But everything else was perfect.
