This was absolutely the best tour we had on our entire vacation, and it was absolutely top-notch. We booked an “Old San Juan Private Tour (mixed walking and golf cart)” excursion after disembarking from our cruise. We began our tour with Paolo picking us up from the cruise terminal and transporting us to the golf cart shop, where we stored our luggage safely and began a lovely golf cart tour of San Juan. The golf carts were absolutely posh; incredibly comfortable seats, accessible, and they even supplied us with plenty of water! I particularly enjoyed the intercom system the golf cart had, so that the driver could discuss everything we were passing by, and we could hear it clearly! We then had multiple stops along the way, where we would get out and take lots of pictures (and I also greatly appreciated our driver, who was happy to act as our photographer and snag all sorts of photos of my mom and I!). Both the golf cart driver and Paolo were also absolutely fabulous, speaking to each member of our tour individually while we were out and about at various spots, giving us information about the spots and answering any questions we had! Once we finished the golf cart section of the tour, we had a wonderful snack at a local spot with a divine pina colada to boot! After finishing that up, we went on a walking tour of Old San Juan, which was brilliant; we went inside the nunnery hotel, and even saw a wedding at the local cathedral! We also went to the local castle where our guide Paolo was incredibly informative, showing us all the best spots and telling us about the fabulous history of Puerto Rico. Some of our group members were not able to walk large distances, and Paolo was incredibly accommodating of our walking abilities, allowing us to rest in places or even skip out on the longer castle tour (which two of our group members did). I always appreciate the accessibility of tours, and this group was no exception to being incredibly user-friendly! After a long day of seeing all the sights, we collected our luggage and were transported directly to the airport (and our incredibly informative driver actually helped us by dropping us off at an Agriculture checkpoint, which we were able to do before going through security; that was SO helpful!). All-in-all, this was our favorite, absolute best tour of our vacation. San Juan is beautiful and this was the best possible way to see it, and I would definitely not only do this exact tour over and over again, but I will definitely be back to do some longer tours with this company; I am already thinking about planning to come down to see some of the rainforests of Puerto Rico, and I'll certainly contact Paolo first when that happens!
