Villa Fulladoza Guest House

Had a wonderful solo stay at Villa Fulladoza in early May. Beautiful and quiet yet only 5 minutes from the center of Dewey. Had such a nice time I added a day to take in a bit more relaxation on the island. Zuleyma was a wonderful host and I can’t wait to return.

We had a great week at Villa Fulladoza. It is a terrific location, 8-10 minute walk to everything in town, ferry, grocery store, shops, restaurants, bars, pizza, diving/snorkeling service! It was a quiet time of year, very peaceful, so can't speak to what it's like peak season. |Beautiful view.||The unit (#5) was very clean and well-maintained, comfy bed, crisp linens. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, pots, utensils, tableware, plates, bowls, etc.|Nice bathroom, good shower!|Outdoor common cooking/eating/relaxing space very comfortable. Small grill, large microwave, fan for cooling, beach chairs and coolers available for use. Reef guide books, small library also there.|The manager, Zuleyma, is wonderful, informative, very responsive with questions/issues whether at location or not.||Things to consider:|We did not rent a car/golfcart but consider it if you are beach focused. Gorgeous beaches! But not walking distance.|Units do not have AC. Ceiling fans and floor fans supplied work well, however consider renting one of the top floor units that catch the breezes in hotter months.

We stayed 4 nights at Villa Fulladoza and wished we could have stayed longer. The manager Zuleyma was very responsive, even when she wasn't on site, and helpful during our stay. We enjoyed all the windows in our room for excellent ventilation, plus fans for the few times that the breeze died. The porch attached to our room overlooked the water and we spent mornings and evenings there, watching the boats. The location is perfect, walking distance to Dewey's many restaurants and the ferry, but on the edge of the town so quieter. We enjoyed walking on the road away from town in the evening. With this location, we only rented a golf cart one day to get to some of the more remote beaches. Otherwise we could walk to everything we needed (including 2 grocery stores) or take the taxi to Playa Flamenco.
