The Soprano Alba Cancel, a member of the Faculty of the Department of Canto and the alumni Christian García, Tenor and the Baritone Gabriel Natal will participate as soloists. The coral preparation will be in charge of the teacher William Rivera and the student Julio Molina.

Carmina Burana (Beuren songs), is a manuscript of 254 poems and dramatic texts, mostly of the eleventh or twelfth century of which ORFF selected 24 poems representative of Goliardesca poetry, focused on issues such as luck, spring, the drunkenness, sarcasm, ridiculization, sensual pleasures and love.

Musically, the composer seeks to evoke the Gregorian and medieval styles without pretending to imitate them. It uses a large instrumentation, rich in percussion and dispenses with complex melodic, harmonic and counterpoint elaborations, in order to facilitate immediate aesthetic perception.

It consists of six sections plus the repetition, in the end, of a fragment of the first, which makes a total of seven sections in a cyclical form. The sections are: Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi (Fortuna, Empress of the World), Primo Vere (La Primavera), UF Dem Anger (in Prado), In Taberna (in La Taberna), Cours d'Amour (The Court of Love) and Blanziflor et Helena (Blancaflor and Helena).

This work by Orff achieved great diffusion, is a mixture of theatrical show, dance and music becoming his most famous work and for which this German musician is best known.
