The story explores the lives of a diverse group of characters in the Latin neighborhood of Washington Heights, New York City, where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It is a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you and which ones you leave behind. Usnavi, the owner of a small winery, serves as our guide as we witness the daily struggles and triumphs of the neighborhood. From love and relationships to pursuing their passions, Washington Heights residents navigate issues of identity, home, and the search for a better future.
Music includes hip-hop, salsa, merengue and soul.
